What better way to illustrate our ethos of sourcing locally than by literally plotting our suppliers on the map! We enlisted the help of Debbie Lee (Debbie Draws Maps) to create our new artwork;
Wherever possible we use seasonal and local ingredients and we foster very close relationships with our suppliers. Our beef
and venison comes from a farm in the next village and all our meat is supplied by the local butcher, Rob, HW Coldbreath. Our apple juice is made by Robert Mitchell, a fruit farmer in the parish. Our fruit and vegetable supplier, Richard, is also based in the village. Our house gin, Greensand, is distilled in the next village. Our menu will often feature produce from the village such as pears in the autumn and honey from the village vicarage. Another regular customer and villager supplies us with bay leaves from her garden to garnish our Greensand gin & tonic.
All-in-all, you can’t get much more local!
Going slightly further afield but staying within Kent we source nearly all the remainder of our Menu!
